The New York Percussion Series is seeking a featured percussion soloist for its New York City concert series at the Players Theatre in Greenwich Village. Solo percussion instruments can include vibes, marimba, drumset or world percussion. Soloist will receive a cash award and be featured on an upcoming series concert accompanied by the NYC based percussion group Percussion People. Applicants should submit a short video, press material and a proposal of repertoire for the performance. Genre can be jazz, funk, world or contemporary. Soloist portion of the program would be 45 to 60 minutes with accompaniment by Percussion People as needed. Proposals are due by December 1st 2024.
